Our Story
Sabot Miniatures began, as many great things do, with friends spending time together on weekends and evenings. Our story started in the dust and heat of the Mojave. All three of us - Caleb, Tommy, and Jarred - met in the military after being stationed at Fort Irwin in sunny southern California. The nature of our work - mainly, being outside in the heat constantly - and the distance to the nearest towns nudged us toward finding a hobby that allowed us to remain local - and in the air conditioning. A small group of Soldiers played Warhammer 40k - and we bought our first boxes of miniatures.

We continued to expand our armies - and get new ones - across a wide breadth of game systems: Bolt Action, Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, Gaslands, Stargrave, Frostgrave, Malifaux, Killteam; the list goes on and on. On every long weekend we would get after working for weeks, we played games and grew our local tabletop community. We fell in love with the models, lore, gameplay, and sense of community we built together as our interests expanded and our group of players grew.
After three years of being consumers in the tabletop wargaming market, we came to three realizations: fostering local tabletop communities requires work and dedication, the cost of entry to the hobby can be prohibitive for newcomers, and 3D-printed miniatures designed by creators allows for very affordable and accessible models that are usable in a plethora of tabletop games. So we asked ourselves - why not us?
As consumers, players, and members of the tabletop gaming and miniature painting communities, we aim to give back to a world that has given so much to us. We strive to lower the bar to entry to the hobby through radically reduced pricing, to foster the hobby by offering unique sculpts and models designed by individual creators, and to grow the community. We aim to eventually open a brick-and-mortar hobby store and build a flourishing local tabletop community by offering an all-inclusive space to play your favorite games with your friends.
